ハード・スタート・アレクサンダー

Was looking for ways to use up some heavy cream and somehow ended up putting a Hard Start into a dessert cocktail. This one comes from Robby Dow @thevodkaartist via Punch @punch_drink : essentially an Alexander built around a Hard Start, the 50/50 combination of Fernet-Branca and Brancamenta. The Fernet gives you bitterness and herbs, the Brancamenta brings mint, and crème de cacao turns the whole thing into this mint-chocolate situation. I swapped the shaved chocolate garnish for hojicha powder, which gives you a similar dark, roasty contrast. .75 oz / 22.5 ml Fernet-Branca .75 oz / 22.5 ml Brancamenta 1 oz / 30 ml crème de cacao 1 oz / 30 ml heavy cream 2 ml crème de banane 1 ml Licor 43 Add everything to a shaker with ice, shake until cold, and strain into a chilled coupe. Finish with hojicha powder.
