Editor's note

Paneer coated in crushed cornflakes and air-fried, then tossed in a spicy honey sauce made with Sriracha and Schezwan. This fusion of Indian protein with Southeast Asian heat is gaining traction on social media as an "easy, photogenic high-protein snack." The appeal lies in the quick prep-to-table time and visual appeal of the crispy, glossy coating.

Hot Honey Paneer Popcorn Recipe 🔥 Ingredients For the paneer * 200 g paneer, cut into bite-sized cubes * ½ cup yogurt * ½ tsp red chilli powder * ½ tsp black pepper * Salt to taste * 1–1½ cups crushed cornflakes For the hot honey sauce * 1 tbsp butter, melted * 1½ tbsp honey * 1 tbsp Sriracha * 1 tbsp Schezwan sauce Method 1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, salt, black pepper, and red chilli powder. 2. Add the paneer cubes and coat them evenly in the seasoned yogurt. 3. Crush the cornflakes and coat each paneer cube, pressing gently so they stick. 4. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C. Arrange the paneer in a single layer and lightly spray with oil if desired. 5. Air fry at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. Adjust the time as needed for your air fryer. 6. In a bowl, mix melted butter, honey, Sriracha, and Schezwan sauce until combined. 7. Toss the crispy paneer in the sauce just before serving. 8. Serve immediately while the coating is still crunchy. Tip: For maximum crunch, toss the paneer in the sauce right before serving so the cornflake coating doesn’t get soggy.
