Editor's note
Hot coffee in the batter enhances moisture while the signature technique of pouring warm fudge sauce into a freshly baked cake and pulling apart the slice to reveal the fudgy center creates visual drama that drives social engagement. The plating approach emphasizes the gooey cross-section—an effective home-kitchen adaptation of professional presentation techniques.

Ingredients Chocolate Cake 1 cup all-purpose flour ½ cup cocoa powder 1 cup sugar 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda Pinch of salt 2 eggs ½ cup milk ½ cup hot coffee ½ cup vegetable oil 1 tsp vanilla Fudge Sauce ½ cup chocolate ½ cup cream 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp Nutella or chocolate spread For topping Chocolate ganache Chocolate chips Crushed chocolate biscuits 👩🍳 Method Mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Whisk until smooth. Add hot coffee and mix. The batter will be thin—this makes the cake extra moist. Pour into a lined 8-inch cake tin. Bake at 175°C for 30–35 minutes. For the fudge sauce, gently heat cream and pour it over chocolate. Add butter and Nutella, then mix until glossy. While the cake is still warm, poke holes all over it. Pour the warm fudge sauce over the cake and let it soak in. Cover with chocolate ganache. Add chocolate chips and crushed biscuits. Cut a big slice and slowly pull it apart to show the fudgy center! 🍫🤤
